Welcome to Captain Ed's, a beautifully appointed studio cottage located in the newly renovated, Palmview Inn! The cottage features a king bed, a sleeper sofa, a full bathroom and a comprehensive kitchenette featuring a fully equipped inventory. Festooned with gorgeous palm trees and an ever present ocean breeze, Palmview Inn has been the choice of many travelers year after year. Close to beaches, dining and shopping, this property boasts one of the best locations on the island. Captain Ed's is one of 6 cottages within the historic Palmview of Sanibel, each one beautifully appointed with a distinct theme. The Palmview Inn offers vibrant fully equipped cottages within walking distance to Sanibel’s famous shelling beaches and the Gulf of Mexico. Complimentary adult bikes and beach equipment are provided to explore the nearby bike paths, or to enjoy a day at the beach full of fun under the sun. We are pet friendly for up to two dogs up to 50lbs each. If you will be traveling with pets please notify us after confirming your booking so that we can update your reservation accordingly. Per pet fee of $75 will apply. Guests must complete rental agreement prior to the stay. A non-refundable cancellation fee of $100 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment. We are available on site for any needs the guest may have, large or small.

I had an overall great experience staying here. The location was excellent, very close to the beach, and one of the best parts of the trip was being able to bike to restaurants and explore different parts of the island. The property itself was also very clean and comfortable. There were a few issues during my stay. Some of the bikes had flat tires, some beach chairs were rusted/broken, no umbrella and the TV wasn’t working. Fortunately, there were vacant rooms available, so I was able to use those items, which helped a lot. Despite those minor issues, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place for the location, cleanliness, and easy access to the beach and island activities. I'll be back again.
The listing was extremely accurate, location was very convenient. Having the bikes available for free was a major plus. The room was clean and just what we needed. Host was very responsive.
We enjoyed everything about our stay at Palmview. Our rooms were super clean and the bed and sofa were extremely comfortable. Only a 7 minute walk to a beautiful beach. We had everything we needed inside and out. We had one small problem with a clogged drain but the response time and repair was taken care of very quickly. Thanks for a great stay!
