Featuring 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large open concept living and dining area with ample seating and coastal décor throughout, this home is your ideal Sanibel Island retreat.
The Colonel's Cottage is a beautiful Sanibel Island home, reminiscent of old-time Sanibel on the outside but fantastically updated on the inside. The home boasts 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 renovated bathrooms, a large living area with a sleeper sofa for extra guests and ample seating throughout, a well-stocked modern kitchen with island, complete with a desk perfect for those that need to plug in and work during their stay
The master bedroom is outfitted with a king bed with a comfy mattress and an en-suite bathroom with a shower tub combo. The guest bedroom features a comfy queen bed and there is a pullout sofa in the living room for extra guests. The guest bathroom also features a shower tub combination.
The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you will need to cook in and has plenty of storage space throughout. There's seating at the modern kitchen island as well as the dining table conveniently located next to the kitchen area, making the dining experience easy and pleasant for the whole family.
The home is situated directly across from the primary beach access in the Gulf Pines community, making your walk to the beach an extremely short one. It is also situated just a 1-2 minute walk away from the Gulf Pines community amenities, including pool and tennis, making this home a perfect fit for those that prefer the pool to beaches. Because Gulf Pines is a primarily residential community with few rental homes, guests will find themselves ensconced in old-time Sanibel vibes without the hustle and bustle of seasonal tourism.
Lastly, there is an expansive patio overlooking the side of the home and beautiful yard, filled with native flora. The patio has ample seating and an outdoor fridge perfect for storing cold beverages. There is beach gear on the patio, including Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella.

Guests have access to the entirety of the home as well as wonderful Gulf Pines amenities including 2 pools, tennis courts, clubhouse, BBQ and picnic area. The private beach access is a short walk away.
We recommend a car for getting around.
For reservations during the months of January, February, and March, rentals are available on a full calendar month basis only. Stays must begin on the first day of the month and end on the first day of the following month. Partial-month stays, mid-month arrivals, or mid-month departures are not permitted during this period unless otherwise approved in writing by management.
Guests must sign a rental agreement upon booking.
A non-refundable cancellation fee of $300 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment.
