Palm retreat

We had a stellar time on Sanibel on our long family weekend. We loved our Airbnb— it was easy to find, exactly what we expected, and perfectly located. An easy 10 min walk to all sorts of things— the beach, local custard shop, sea shell shop, a few restaurants, and a lot more a short drive away. We liked the feel of the street and parking was good on the property. The kitchen and rooms were spacious and we felt right at home. We also really appreciated that it was pet friendly. All in all, we had a blast. Side note: we had a lot of success shelling at the beach closest to the Airbnb and very little success at the beaches advertised elsewhere as the must-go shell beaches, so i was really glad we booked here rather than trying to be close to the well-known shelling beaches!

Communication was clear with easy to follow instructions. The cottage was at a walkable distance to the beach, and totally doable if you're not carrying a bunch of stuff. The trolleys left in the commune areas helped in that aspect. The cottage was very clean and looked newly renovated. However, one of the couches looked stained and the overall cottage lacked in décor and some useful furniture (nightstand lamp was missing in one bedroom as well as a dresser, in the other bedroom the fan couldn't be left on without the bright ceiling light being on as well, and the bathroom attached to that bedroom didn't have any towel rack). It was acceptable for 2 nights though. The area was very quiet and conveniently located close to a local supermarket and restaurants.
