As if often the case, you can't get a sense from the listing about whether the Gulf is visible from the room. It's not. But the walk to the beach is VERY easy - it's very close indeed. However, you can't listen to the sea at night, even with the windows open, because the unit is tucked into a courtyard which blocks that sound. We did try to communicate with Palmer about the fact that that bathroom power switch would blow the fuse the instant you plugged the hairdryer in (not even turning it on). We tried a lot of solutions, and Palmer indicated that a maintenance person would come in and address this. That didn't happen. Despite these small issues, it was a lovely stay."
