The Catalina

The sweet little cottage was perfect for our stay. It’s very close to many restaurants and has quick access to the extensive bike path on the island. The bikes that were supplied with the rental were very nice and a try bonus. The beach is right down the street and you can walk or ride a bike. Thanks for a great getaway!

Good location, had the use of beach chairs and bikes. Very clean. Had a small stove, frig and microwave. Close walk to residential beach. Very quiet, easy to locate with parking and easy check in.

Staying on Sanibel is objectively on the pricier side; the Palm View was an incredible find for a 3 night stay under 1k. The property was peaceful and the exterior has a classic beach house look while sporting an upgraded minimalist, modern interior for a clean hotel feeling. We did not want to rent a car and planned to walk or bike everywhere, and only ubered 4 times total including the rides to and from RSW. The suggested beach access was easy to find and does not open up to an over crowded beach; even on spring break! Our qualms: there is no one in the onsite "office," so arriving on the island early left us waiting with our luggage in the heat until our room was ready. The shower is SO slim; my partner is 6'2 about 175lbs and could not stand facing the shower head or bend, he had to stand sideways and open the door to turn around lol. There are no nooks or shelves in the shower either, so products either sit on the floor or outside of the shower on the toilet seat if you cant bend.
